David's goal is to follow Lewis and Clark's travels. We stopped at the site of this fort and spoke to an archaelogy professor who was leading a "dig" on the site. He said that the site marked was a French fort and that he and his students had found evidence of an American fort a little bit up the road. He said that this second fort was probably where Lewis and Clark recruited 12 men for their journey.
