We went to the arch and discovered that one tram wasn't working and there was a 3 our wait. We opted out! We went into the gift shop and were astounded at the security there. It was just like going thru the TSA lines at the airport. We also discovered that the arch is a national monument in the middle of a national park, the Jefferson Expansion Memorial.
